kenmō

(JP: 兼毛; PR: "ken-mow")
A calligraphy brush with a tip made from a combination of different animals’ hair. Such brushes are designed to combine the advantages of firm brushes (cheaper, a good "spring" in the tip) with those of soft brushes (highly varied and expressive lines).
